We Never Cancel A Class Because Of Size. If One Person Signs Up, We Teach.
Don’t get tricked by the lure of a “Bait and Switch trainer.” Training providers that don’t reside in the advertised city require a minimum number of students to make their classes profitable. If that minimum is not met, the class is cancelled–usually the day before or the training company tries to get you to travel to another distant location and they won’t refund your money. That leaves the student with no class (or certification) and a long wait til the next class shows up. If Seagull Environmental Training schedules a training and at least ONE student registers, we teach! Our trainers live in the areas where they teach and are there for you after the course as well. So be smart. Ask if they will hold a class if only you show up. If not, call us. We do.
Seagull Environmental Training is a nationally accredited training provider under federal guidelines. Our RRP lead paint training certifications are approved/accepted in most states. Please be careful, not all training providers are accredited or accepted in states outside of the state in which they teach. This means you may have to take the course (and pay another fee) all over again if you want to work in a state outside of the one in which you received your lead based paint training.
If you have not completed a Certified Renovator (RRP) lead based paint course by December 31, 2010 (or refreshed an existing certification) you are now facing fines up to $38,892 per occupant per occurrence on pre–1978 housing and child-occupied facilities (like schools and daycare centers.) And federal and state enforcements have begun. Our eight hour lead based paint course will bring you into compliance with the EPA/HUD RRP Lead Based Paint Ruling.
